JENNIFER HUDSON @ THE 80TH ANNUAL OSCAR AWARDS
Jennifer always is pushing the envelope. I don't like this dress because of the back of it. Her back is not in shape enough. Thick Misses haft to make sure they wear clothes that compliment. Not take away. I give this dress a B+.

JOANE BORGELLA DISMISSED FROM AMERICAN IDOL
The pretty plus-size model performed "I Say A Little Prayer," but a thousand candle-light vigils couldn't save her from elimination on last night's results show.
At first, I thought she might squeak through. When Amy Davis, who sang a tone-deaf version of "Where the Boys Are," got the boot first, I prayed that Borgella's chances for survival were greater.
However, when host Ryan Seacrest summoned Borgella and Amanda Overmyer - a dead ringer for Ozzy Osbourne's daughter Kelly - I knew the end was certain for Hoboken's karaoke queen.
After breaking the bad news to Borgella, Seacrest asked the judges to weigh in.
"This is tough," Randy Jackson said. "Your nerves just got the best of you."
A smug-faced Simon Cowell said Borgella's song choice was horrible.
"That should be a lesson learned," he said. "You can't breeze your way through."
But if there's ever an "American Idol" season where someone could breeze through, I believe it's this one. Granted, the finalists have only been through one week. But I and thousands of other "Idol" junkies can only hope for a drastic about-face to make this show worth watching.
I don't see a Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia or a Carrie Underwood in the bunch.
As for Borgella, my advice is to hold your beautiful head up high despite the short "Idol" sting. You beat long odds to get to this point.
Stick to material in your range and leave power ballads to triple-lung crooners like Aretha.

SOUL SINGER LEDISI WAS JUST ABOUT TO GIVE UP.
The title of Ledisi's breakthrough album "Lost & Found" is also an apt description for her career path.
With her chocolate skin, full figure and dreadlocked hair, she recalls being told consistently that she didn't have the "look" necessary to be a star. In addition, while her music could be classified as R&B, she also sang with jazz inflections that left some confused about how to categorize her, or to market her.
Fed up, Ledisi -- who declines to give her age -- was about to quit the business until she met a friend and producer who encouraged her to give her recording career one more try. So she took a leap of faith -- and was rewarded.
In a recent interview with The Associated Press, Ledisi talked about how her new success, reconnecting with her long-lost father and finally finding herself.

MONIQUE HITS UP ON MARTIN ON THE SET "WELCOME HOME ROSCOE JENKINS"
It’s the first time Martin Lawrence has hit a woman. Lawrence says of his fight scene with Monique, who plays his feisty sister in Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, “It ain’t often you get to tackle a woman like Monique and yank out a little hair weave and all that. But she got me back in the end.”
In fact, word is Martin was cringing even though the amply endowed female comedian was pulling her punches. Co-star Mike Epps says, “I think I remember Martin calling ‘Cut,’ at one point and saying, ‘Monique, that one was a little close.’”
