JENNIFER HUDSON SHOOTS 2ND VIDEO OFF OF HER ALBUM

Recent pics of Jennifer out and about in Florida. Word has it that her and her fiance' David have live in Florida now.

Miss Jennifer Hudson just wrapped the video shoot for second single "If It Isn't Love" off her 1st self -entitled R&B Album this past week in Los Angeles. This is the same album that has Miss Hudson up for four Grammy nominations. She is scheduled to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl this Sunday and to perform at the Grammys on February 8th, 2009.

This will be the first time Jennifer Hudson has come back to the public eye since the slayings of her mother, brother, and nephew in October. I know she has to go back to business as usual. Lord knows if it was me, I would be no good to nobody for at least a year or two. But you know what, that which does not kill you, makes you stronger. Jennifer Hudson is a living testimony to that.

MO'NIQUE WINS AWARD FOR "PUSH" AT SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL

Our favorite girl Mo'Nique won the Special Jury Prize for acting for her performance in the divisince Lee Daniels movie PUSH a novel based on the book written by Sapphire. The movie is about a bleak yet redemptive drama of sexual abuse and teen motherhood. Lee Daniels is no stranger to movie making. He produced the Oscar-winning movie Monster's Ball. Remember that is the movie in which Miss Halle Berry won an Oscar for. (ummm hmmmmm)

The movie Push also won the awards for dramatic grand jury prize and the audience award for Best U.S. Drama. Also, ThickMisses Sherri Shephard is in the movie as well. Other celebrities you might recognize are Mariah Carey Paula Patton and Lenny Kravitz. I hear that Mo'Nique is getting some OSCAR BUZZ for this movie. Keep it right here on this blog for a movie premiere date. Below is a picture of Mo'Nique in character.

I swear Mo'Nique look like a daughter of Tyler Perry's Madea. I'm just saying....

CNN INTERVIEW: JAZMINE SULLIVAN

CNN sat down with the new ThickMisses on the block and chatted with her about her inspirations, sound, and who she will be bringing to the Grammys. If you didnt know Jazmine Sullivan has 5 Grammy nominations in her name. GO GIRL!!!

CNN: How would you describe your sound?

Jazmine Sullivan: I can't really describe it; that's the whole thing. Once you hear the CD, you'll hear that one sound doesn't sound like the next. You know, I've been influenced by so many different styles and different genres of music that I felt like that should be represented on my first album, so when you get it, you get a taste of gospel, jazz, R&B, hip-hop, reggae, pop ... everything is on there, there's something for everybody to enjoy. I didn't want to exclude anybody from the album.

CNN: Let me ask you this: When you saw or heard the other nominees in the best new artist category who happen to be a little bit more well-known, was it intimidating? I mean, you got the Jonas Brothers, Katy Perry, Adele ...

Sullivan: Yeah, the Jonas Brothers, specifically. I didn't even know they were new artists because they are so huge, so, you know, so after, when my name was called after theirs, I thought, "Wow, they're new artists, too?" I got a little scared, I tell you that.

CNN: All right, the big question: Grammy night. What are you wearing? Who are you bringing? What are you going to be doing?

Sullivan: I'm bringing my mother. She's been my rock and my support ever since I was a baby. She was my first huge fan, that what she is.
I don't know what I'm wearing. I'm trying not to think about that. I want to perform. Hopefully I can get on stage and I can show everybody who I am and what I'm about. But I haven't thought about the dress or the shoes or the hair or anything about that.

JENNIFER HUDSON WILL SING @ THE SUPERBOWL

Jennifer Hudson will make her first public appearance since the killings of her mother, brother and nephew during sports' grandest event — the Super Bowl.
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed Wednesday that Hudson will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl in Tampa, Fla., on Feb. 1. E! News first reported Tuesday that Hudson would perform.
Hudson hasn't made a public appearance since her 57-year-old mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson; 29-year-old brother Jason Hudson; and 7-year-old nephew Julian King were slain in Chicago in October. Her estranged brother-in-law has been charged in the killings.
Hudson, who had released her self-titled debut album shortly before the killings, is also scheduled to sing at the Grammys' MusiCares event in Los Angeles a few days later. She is nominated for four awards at the Feb. 8 Grammy Awards.
Good to finally Jennifer after everything has happened.

JILL SCOTT IS PREGNANT

Jill Scott is pregnant with her first child, the R&B singer and actress revealed to reporters at the Television Critics Association conference in Los Angeles on Friday.

Promoting her new HBO series The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, based on the popular novels by Alexander McCall Smith, Scott said she discovered that she was pregnant just before leaving for Botswana where she filmed the show.

"The first trimester I spent in Botswana," said the star, who is due April 25. "That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You're sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days."

Still, the actress, who is engaged to drummer Lil' John Roberts, says she's glad she went through with the plans to film. "My doctors gave me a clean bill of health and said you can do this, so I did it."

CONGRATULATIONS JILL!!!
