ABC’s daytime chatfest “The View” is moving to bring on two new outspoken co-hosts: comic Whoopi Goldberg and performer Sherri Shepherd.
Final negotiations with the duo are underway, and an announcement of their hiring is expected next week, according to a person familiar with the discussions.
ABC declined to comment. “We have nothing to announce right now,” said spokesman Karl Nilsson.
Goldberg, the irreverent comedian and Oscar-winning actress, and Shepherd, a stand-up comic who has appeared in movies like “Beauty Shop,” would bring a strong dose of brash humor to the 10-year-old program, which was buoyed by O’Donnell’s presence last season.

“We’re on good terms. I was sad initially about the break-up, but I know Flav and if you know Flav, you know he doesn’t mean any harm in whatever he does. He always means well. I respect his decision to do some things for his new baby, whose name is Karma and who was born the day after Christmas. He wanted to try to give the situation with his son’s mom a try, and I understood that. I told him that if it didn’t work out and I was still available, to give me a holler. So we’ll see if they’re still together tonight

"HAIRSPRAY" PUTS PLUS SIZED WOMEN ON PEDESTAL
The ladies of "Hairspray" are a rarity in fat-phobic Hollywood, whose obsession with willowy women is so strong the idea of a corpulent heroine is almost unheard of.
The new big-screen musical, with lyrics that include a line about women's "extra large largesse" shining through, debuts Friday. The filmmakers hope it will help open moviegoers' minds to the notion that people of ample proportions deserve their Hollywood close-ups.
Curvier women such as Mae West, Jayne Mansfield, Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell were far more common in old Hollywood, but the outright portly like "Hairspray" lead character Tracy Turnblad have hardly ever gotten their day as lead characters.
"Growing up, all I saw were the really thin actors and pop singers of the world. Everybody was so thin and tall and blond and everything I was not," said Nikki Blonsky, the hefty 4-foot-10 newcomer who plays Tracy. "Do I have to be like them to make it into the business? I thought, `No, I'm going to find a way to make it in just as somebody different.'

LANE BRYANT WILL BREAK YOUR BANK WITH A GIFT CERT EVERY WEEK.
I'm a huge LANE BRYANT shopper. It is so bad that the manager of the store knows me and all the associates as well.. They see me come in and you can see their eyes glass over. Lane Bryant has definitely stepped up their game within the last 2 years or longer. It could be longer but for a while I was in denial about Thick Misses status and still was trying to shop in NY and Company. But sisters, I have seen the light.
I mean if you didnt know, they are no longer apart of The Limited Brand anymore, but have now become apart of Charmingshoppes since 2001. This is the corporation that owns such stores as Fashion Bug and Catherine's. So maybe that is the cause for major upgrade.
Anyway, Lane Bryant has really stepped their game up. I know I receive at lease one Gift Cheque for $50 every week when I get paid. Do you think they have an eye on my direct deposit or what. But right now I am on WITHDRAWAL from LANE BRYANT. Fellow Thick Misses please pray my strengh that when I receive that email with that gift cheque attached to it, that I want print it out and buy clothes I dont really need.
