According to several online reports, Jennifer Hudson is several months' pregnant and held a baby shower in Chicago over the weekend. Rumors of the Oscar-and-Grammy-winning singer/actress's pregnancy have been circulating for months but have been denied by her reps. The shower was reportedly held on Saturday at a relative's home.

"It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family," singer/ actress Felicia Fields, a longtime Hudson friend, reportedly told to the Chicago Tribune. "They're really trying to keep it kind of quiet."

Hudson is engaged to former reality-TV star David Otunga, who is pursuing a pro-wrestling career. (I'm not even going to touch that. TOOO EASSY) The pair have not publicized their wedding date.

I guess I don't get why hide it. But you know she grew up in a community of Holy Rolling relatives and probably look down on the fact that David and her are living together and not married. Now she is pregnant and not married. So maybe that is why??

I'm still not understanding why she is wanting to get married and all this so fast. Didn't her career just get off the ground?? Before you all get on me, she basically just had her career handed to her on a silver platter after Dream Girls. I know she is still dealing with her families untimely deaths, but they would want to see her dreams come true. I'm not saying David is not a nice dude. But some time because a man comes in your life at what you think is a good time...it might not be the "best" time.

Everyone should recognize Cassi Davis from Tyler Perry's House of Payne as Aunt Ella and wife to Curtis Payne. Well in real life Cassi Davis has crossed a major milestone in her personal life. She graduated from Spelman College this year. She enrolled as a student to the college in 1984 and got all the way to her senior year and dropped out. Miss Davis sat down with Essence to explain her journey back to Spelman.

ESSENCE.COM: Congratulations on your graduation. Why did you leave Spelman before graduating the first time?

I graduated from high school May 7, 1984, and left home to go to Spelman. I majored in music with a concentration in vocal performance but I didn't want to be a classical singer. I thought this college experience would teach me how to be a gospel singer. When I got there, I was awakened to the real world. I was trying to get my music degree and really just wanted to sing about Jesus. So, it was just a rebellious thing for me. I didn't want to do a senior recital without singing something spiritual. They told me I couldn't, so I walked away......

Jordin Sparks was spotted out at the BMI Pop Awards. She actually was accompanied by Singer-songwriter and Model Steph Jones. The two have been seen out regularly as of late. Their last appearance was at the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers game. Jordin has really been working hard as of late on her album and her fitness. Sparks released her new single on America Idol last week. The name of the song is Battlefield from upcoming second album named the same. The single hits airwaves on May 25th and the album should be hitting stores in June. Also, On October 1, 2009, Sparks will release a book via Thomas Nelson Publishers, titled "One Step at a Time". If you think you are seeing Jordin slim down. Well your eyes are not fooling you. She hired trainer Joey London as her personal trainer and Laurie Ann "BoomKack" Gibson as her choreographer.
